I just made a preliminary simfile for Stardust Speedway Bad Future; grab it here.  Works with DWI or SM.

Current steps are L4/S7/H9.  I designed them to be completable on a pad, and can handle most of it myself.  The tricky part is the DXY!-style steps found from 27 to 39 seconds; this part is supposed to require some tricky movement to navigate the jumps but is this really necessary for the song, or would more "natural" step patterns work better?

If anyone has plans to add Light or Standard steps to this, or parts of the song where the steps should be changed, reveal them here. [EDIT] - not necessary any longer

And therein lies the purpose of this topic.  If anyone else has plans to create SM or DWI files, talk about them here.

Someone make a "What I'm Made of" one from sonic heroes that is actulaly good cause the sonic adventure boss songs were crappy files.

What I'm Made Of isn't something with a readily apparent simfile to me.  I've already done one for Mystic Mansion (a long time ago), and I had started one for This Machine, but obviously that one was just plain long and has been abandoned.

clicky
That one lacks a banner, but has full charts.  Light/Standard/Heavy by me, Challenge steps by Turbos.

[EDIT] Silly space in the URL breaking the tags.  Hopefully a %20 will fix it.

The Stardust file has been edited; I went ahead and made the jump streams in the middle more manageable for pad players.  Also I moved six arrows around to fit better with the song (max combo is still 319; I can still AAA it on keyboard at 140%)

It's the same address for the file; as an added bonus, these changes reduce the file size by a whopping ONE BYTE!

For those who have tried the old version, does the revision make it better?

For those who haven't, it's a clean slate.  Try it out and see what you think.

I did make a StepFile for Follow Me (Team Rose) and I'm trying to make one for We Can (Team Sonic) but I keep having a problem with pinpointing the BPM.

ooh, clicky

We Can = 117
Follow Me = shows 83, but should probably be doubled to 166

Maybe We Can could also be doubled to 234?

Yes, this is an old topic.  But it's already here and it serves our purposes.

I just finished another simfile, for a Sonic 3/K act 2 boss remix called "Machine Gun Hedgehog".  File is downloadable here; Challenge (11) only.  If anyone wants to fill in the lower difficulties (without going completely off beat and making a mockery of the song), go ahead.

I've noticed an outburst of simfile-making all around, such as from RPG and Psyknux; those files can be put here too.

I have one song for now, but who knows? I may make more in the future. The song I've done is "Awe of She," the theme of Dizzy (Guilty Gear XX). The steps for Heavy were not made by me and were originally the only difficulty level for the song. The song alternates between 235.5 and 245.5 BPM during most of the song and 118-124 BPM for the slower parts. Steps are 3/5/7/9/13 for Beginner/Light/Standard/Heavy/Challenge.

You can download it here.

Also I've modified the steps for Beginner and Challenge slightly so you might want to download this and overwrite the original stepfiles.

(TODO: clean up the ending of Challenge a bit; I kind of rushed through it so the quality isn't as good as the rest of the song.)

Hay guiz, I made a table showing how many points each game tracked by TSC is worth. You should go see it.
Also v2.0 of my TSC calculator is available to use. You should totally use it.
I update these every Monday around 2:30pm GMT.

I decided to take a shot at making a stepfile.  The one I did is the full version of the Pokemon Advanced Battle theme.  It didn't take long to make, so here it is.

EDIT: Ok, Mega Upload is being Mega gay right now, so I'll have to check some of these out later I guess : /

Well, I know it's a DDR clone, but is it for PC? And how do you play it, using USB dance mats? Or, ugh, the keyboard? :o

Awesome. :)

Speaking of *awesome*, I made another stepfile, this one being of the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl theme (the anime).  It's only 30 seconds, but it's not very easy.  Here it is.

Toss in another one.  This one is the Japanese Sonic X theme.  As you know, you can get it here.

In direct response to Groudon's, here's one of the English Sonic X theme:

I only bothered to make the heavy mode steps.

Bout time I get back here. Well, I'm gonna top you all in a single blow. ^_^

http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/sims/index.php?u=Professor%20Raine

All of my stepfiles, SM & DWI compadable. Mostly Sonic Team songs, but Pass That Dutch and Cipher Admin Battle (Pokemon XD) was for fun. XP Some are paddable, but some of the Super Monkey Ball 2 songs are keyboard ONLY.

P.S. My best ones seem to be Skydeck A Go! Go! & Tricky Maze. Enjoy.

EDIT: By the way, I'm trying to make my Sonic CD sims compadable with In The Groove 2 arcade machines. Once the .mp3 files are .ogg, then they'll be up and ready for some arcade dancing.

Can someone tell me how you set the BPM for a song?

I was toying around with the Sonic X japanese song, trying to add steps for the light standard and heavy difficulties, but the BPM it was originally on is not right. I temporarily fixed this by speeding up the song in small increments, and it's fine for the most part for light, but it doesn't feel accurate for my standard step set, and I know I'm going to need complete accuracy of the BPM for the heavy steps

I remember reading a guide about it, but I can't find it now. I thought it was in the readme file, but I checked and it didn't mention anything about it, so if anyone could guide me in the right direction, that'd be great, as I'm rather new to the song editor in stepmania
