It's funny because this 100% shafts people that play competitively but don't stream or otherwise record literally everything they do on video games forever
kappa. I don't feel like going through the trouble of getting an adapter to record my DS with my elgato if I happen to get a new ring record on Sonic Rush, if such a thing even exists. With SRA its fine cuz of the replay feature & I can just use my phone, but with Rush, there is no such thing, and trying to record a DS live with my phone without a tripod is painful. I tried emulating a DS, it was an abysmal experience, I don't know how you people do it. Same deal with my phone, if I happen to get a ring record on one of the mobile Sonic games, welp guess I can't submit that cuz I don't have a fucking adapter for my elgato.
I don't submit much more anyway, but sometimes, recording a record is too much of a hassle.
So does every previous first place record need to get a video uploaded to it? No grandfathering?LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Do you have any idea how many ancient records would be taken down if TSC did that? Why not just remove every record ever submitted without a video then? Or make countless charts go completely blank cuz recording a video for it would be more trouble than it's worth, example ANY extra mission
in SRA. Those charts would be DEAD
if you were required to submit a video, and with the new rule, they pretty much are dead cuz nobody is ever going to be recording when they attempt an extra mission, which has NO REPLAY FEATURE.
I get it, we're getting with the times, but for some games, having to record every 1st place record
just kills competition. I hate the record every 1st place record rule, if you can't already tell.
