Sonic 1 2013 Question

I'm guessing the answer is yes based on some of the ring attack stats, but I just wanted to be sure and clarify a few rules I didn't find.

Are the elemental shields allowed to be used via level select and are they allowed in every category? (Time, Rings, Score)

Yeah they are allowed for every category, except for sonic times, time attack must be used

Cool, thanks! Still have trouble reaching those rings in GHZ1 with the lightning shield though. :(
