Help! MOV to AVI (or any other format for that matter). I need help for conversion for competition vids. What program should I use. Ideas?

Yeah, I've tried that myself and it seems that low-end conversion programs don't even bother attempting it. The only thing I can think of is more high-end editing software (obviously professional stuff like After Effects can do it but that's like £700 lol). Can VirtualDub not do it?

You could give this a try: http://freewarelist.net/Any-Video-Converter.html
It supports almost every file format input (including mov), and several customizable outputs.  This version of it is freeware.  This is what I use for all my PSP converting needs.  It converts pretty fast, but I've had occasional de-synch problems.

Another I can highly recommend is http://www.winnydows.com/xvid4psp.html
This is a bit slower than the other (due to more processing), but has more export options and formats, and I've never had any de-synch problems with this one.  Converter of choice for members of DCEmu.

Download a free trial and crack it?
Did you not think I had a mind?

VirtualDub can do it, but you'll also need Avisynth. Check here.

Other software like MediaCoder or the stuff Auriman1 recommended might be more straightforward, but I think (if I remember from when you were in the chatroom the other day correctly) that the main reason you want to convert is to compress it which VirtualDub offers tons of options for.
