SADX time question
« on: December 16, 2005, 04:52:52 pm »
I know this has been brought up before but I forgot the result. I want to know if times acheived in Adventure Mode are as legit as times acheived in Trial Mode. I wanted to know this because the 4 lives given in Trial Mode isn't enough and makes it more and more frustrating to play. I get a good run going and I run out of lives, very ****** annoying. I can easily get a lot of lives in Adventure Mode and then try to take on a level with 99+ lives and I can TA to my hearts content. If this is disallowed for whatever reason, I'll be putting my SADX back in it's case again.
Chaos Emeralds: Yellow, Red, Green, Blue and Purple.

Either mode is allowed.  The first time you use Adventure mode, you'll get 10 seconds added on to all times, but after that the two modes are equal.

No, sonicam's right. Some levels have major advantages in Adventure mode and we were looking at ways of resolving discrepancies.

If either mode is allowed, can I submit my five second Chaos 6 Big time now?

Actually, I was just referring to the Levels by going to my 100% completion stories so the story is complete (ie. no bosses or cinema) and just play the levels with my lives. I wasn't speaking about starting a new game and entering my times.

I thought Adventure wasn't allowed because of possible problems.
The game automatically takes care of all the known problems*, but
seeing how sloppy SA is, there could be some unknown differences.
I think Adventure probably should be allowed if there aren't any other problems.
Having 99+ lives would help, and no one would have to use AR.
(I'd rather not use it, because it really does give an advantage.)
I can just keep going with the 4 lives (many places have over 100 rings, so it's like unlimited lives),
but I don't want to if everyone else gets 99+/unlimited lives.

*Chaos 6 (Big) times aren't saved the first time because the timer starts late.

10 seconds are added to make up for the easiness of just grabbing the Emerald in some levels.

Is there anything else?

Quit yer complainin

Some sonic games only give you one shot to time attack through the whole level, rather then allow you to restart at checkpoints!

Hardly, most of Adv1&2's levels are around the minute mark and are stupidly easy to fork up.
Did you not think I had a mind?
