General Sonic / Re: Sonic 06- Mission Replay Glitch
« on: August 17, 2014, 04:47:25 pm »
So,I found something in Sonic 06 earlier when I was just messing around. After completing Wave Ocean as Sonic, buy the Antigravity and make your way over to the roof where Francesca is.Talk to her. After this,go find Ganiella across the bridge,as she has a mission for you to do.Decline, and do not talk to any other NPCs.Perform a skip to get into the part of Soleanna that is blocked off.Once there,go to the area near Aquatic Base.To the right of the mirror,on land, there's two men talking.Talk to the black one (I am not trying to be racist),and he will have Ganiella's dialogue. Actually, this man will do this with any NPC.If you talk to Francesca, and come to this man,He'll say what Francesca says. Here, you can accept the mission. After the loading screen,it'll load up Ganiella's next but of talking, and you'll see Ganiella herself.Finish the mission, and wait for the loading screen. You'll see the same man as before and you can accept the mission again. This leads to you being able to repeat the mission as many times as you like, and you can get infinite rings this way. This serves no purpose other than getting rings,so you can get tons of rings even before you go to Dusty Desert.I have no idea if anyone has found this before, but I found it and think it's actually really interesting. Let me know what you guys think.

All this was done on the PS3 version,so if someone could try it on the X360 version and confirm it works, that would be great.

Already been found, actually. DsS was showing off "Copycat" (the NPC you're talking about) in his stream yesterday.

And yes, he was using the 360 version.

I have no clue how pokemon bank worked in the first place but will all Pokemon from this game be able to transfer to X/Y do you think?

Because you couldn't use Download Play with a 3DS game using a DS since you can't play a 3DS game on a DS. They had to use a 3DS app to be able to communicate with the DS games, which has been proven possible by Pokémon Dream Radar. (This is really just my guess, by the way.)

As for transferring... do you mean between OR/AS and X/Y via Bank or trading?

I'd be surprised if that wouldn't be possible.

You have to pay DsS an annual membership fee of $599 and must include a giant transparent TSC logo stretching across the entire stream. In return, we'll send you a complimentary TSC pin button.

...seriously though, there's no catch. All it means is you show up on the TSC team page and you have the option of putting the team name on your stream page. That's it.

Well. Sorry for being an idiot. :/

Okay, I'll ask.

What's the catch?

...no seriously. I'd like to know all the details. :/

Why would you buy a 2nd copy of the game and a 2nd 3DS when you can just trade breed your starter and trade it for the other starters on the global link?

also

With B/W/B2/W2, since I had a DS and 3DS (and since there are two other DSes in my household owned by my siblings), I could practically get everything Gen V myself.

But I am the only one with a 3DS, and I'll probably get both X and Y.

Looking forward to this. Except for the fact that I only have one 3DS.

Because... all the starters. And National Dex completion. I'm going to do it. ._.

I STILL NEED THAT FREAKIN' MELOETTA! DX

I just listened to the original Lavender Town mix. I NEARLY KILLED MYSELF. I can relate. It gave me a headache.

AM I THE ONLY PERSON WHO IS NOT NEGATIVELY AFFECTED BY THIS TUNE?!!?

Heard it. Didn't do anything more than barely irritate me.

Why is it always Japanese and Chinese and otherrse that kill them selves over video games? Like seriously. On another note, this topic is interesting but I don't want to go here in game anymore in case Jeff the killer is there and i  shit myself

Who?

Did I mention I got a level 100 party and completed the Unova Dex sans Meloetta?  I guess not.

Not much else for me to do aside from dream world collecting though (And national dex, which I'm not doing yet), so yeah.

I'm working on the National Dex right now. Durr hurr.

Have both, beat both, got most of the Keys.

So... meh.

Knowing the fastest route and getting the clocks to reduce the time to 0:00:00.

(No, I don't know the route.)

Rules Revisions / Re: Sonic CD RA Rules Change
« on: May 19, 2012, 10:23:43 pm »
Okay, I'm definitely neutral in consideration for this rule. There is a slight problem, though. This will give emu players a giant advantage, since they can use save states. Console players(Sega CD and SGC) would have a hell of a difficult time with this because they'd have to start Act I and play through it EVERY time in order to start Act II in a different time. That is a major downside, in my opinion, seeing as I am a console player myself. However, the point of RA is entirely about getting as many rings as you can without getting rings twice(happens in SADX with the bells), so whatever happens to this rule is for the best, and I won't choose sides.

Just thought I'd remind you of something:

Quote from: Competition Rules
* Gamesharks, similar cheat devices, "turbo" or "autofire" features of controllers, and ROM save states must not be used, nor any functions on the emulator, such as slowing down the speed of the game.

I just did.

Worst case scenario... I'll probably just go and do this again later, because I do see a higher enemy count possible.

Redone.

dabestgamer:
Time: 2:54.92
Enemies: 21

Slightly higher is still possible, I believe.

EDIT: I forgot to record the time, but I did this on Ranking Attack... and the time I got was my new best time for Ranking Attack. Bleh.

"Blast Effect glitch"?

Is that the name for that spindash that sends you off faster than the regular spindash would or is it something else?

Well, I just went and modified my post so that I included the notes I took, and was formatted so that I could follow it.

It may or may not be easy to follow, but it's there in case I miscalculated or misunderstood something.

Or did I overlook something?

I'm guessing boosting is allowed, even given the title of the challenge.

Anyway, I'll probably do this later this week or something.

How do you guys get Super Sonic to boost along the floor without taking off and flying like a nonce? It's hella sweet

If you start boosting in a no-fly zone and hold the boost over into a fly zone, the boost will remain as normal.

The second one looks like one I could do, since I've been messing around with the Super Sonic skill a lot.
