I can't be the only one who thinks it's ridiculous that 4 people claim to have gotten 14 now. :\ Any way to get them to provide proof?

Remember though, if you think someone's cheating just because their times are insanely fast, there's a good chance you're wrong. :)

Yeah well SJ I have been playing this game a lot and so has my dad too. My dad was the one who got that record a long time ago. and remember that the game does not save your records =/

Not only is your story unbelievable, in the rare event that it is true it is very clear rule breaking.
You are either a stat bser, or someone who thinks it's ok to submit somebody else's stats. If I could submit somebody elses's stats, I'd have all the records!

Well actually, my grandfather got 14 a few years back, so I guess I'll just go and submit that.
P.S. Though I actually don't believe silvermetal's story, for a start, the method to do Green Hill 2 in 14 wasn't discovered 'a long time ago' so his dad would have actually had to have figured out the method, but he has just admitted to a serious breach in rules. If this record is set by his dad, then how many more of his records are? Caught in the act I'd say silver.

I highly doubt that anyone could have found the GH2 strat by accident (outside of TASing), as even if you initiate the zip, chances are you'd die somewhere along the lines from not knowing what you're doing (if you cant die during this zip then my bad).

Hell yes you can die during the zip. I've tried to do that damn strat countless times but can't pull it off.

Ahh, but remember, silvermetal's dad has been playing a lot of sonic. *nods head* (When I first watched the strat, I decided immediately never ever to bother trying it)

I was trying to zip to the end of this level awhile before the TAS came out, but gave up thinking there was no way to avoid dieing because I had no idea what was going on when I disappeared.
I was also suspicious that not long after I got 14 a bunch of people did it including one I've never heard of (andyt) but it doesn't really take as much skill as luck manipulation since you have over a second of leeway in the first 7 seconds of play. then its just a 1 frame jump timing.

I just looked at andyt's profile, and GH2 is the only thing he's submitted on the site; also, here are his only two posts, the first posted on April 15th and the second on April 16th:

so where can i see the TAS of 0:13 you guys are talking about? the 0:17 tas would be interesting as well (to see the fastest non wall glitch time).
He submitted 15 on GH2 on April 15th (that would require the TAS strat), which would be before he asked how to do it. :\ He also submitted 14 later that day when no one posted in the topic with a link to the TAS. I seriously doubt he actually got this time.

The video also shows that the run was performed on Kega Fusion, which has no TASing capability as far as I'm aware.

He's doing a soft reset, so the level select code is still in place, and the selection is still on Green Hill 2. so it's just a case of A+Start, then Start.

Well, he's banned from TSC, so that's a start.
(Also he attempted to ban-dodge by registering a second account. That has been banned too, and his IP is banned.)

You can't ban someone from the internet, however you can always crash their computer, lol.(not that I recommend doing that)

that video shows me getting 15 seconds. my 14 seconds record is just slightly better timing. i'll post the 14 seconds video eventually if you guys want.
