Title: A compendium of game saves
Post by: yse on October 24, 2006, 09:47:26 am
Here we compile a list of savestates where the game is complete, where a mode is unlocked which is useful for competition, eg. boss mode in Sonic Advance 2 (requires all emeralds with two characters) or Special Stage mode in Sonic Pocket Adventure (which requires you to collect all the puzzle pieces). The idea behind it is that nobody has any excuse to not be able to compete.

I finished off the puzzle piece collection, so I'll start the collection off with this (http://www.sonicenter.org/mike89/SPAAllPuzzle.ngs).

Sweet idea, yse. I can compile a few Game Saves too.

This really will make it so that everyone has no excuse not to participate. :P

Sonic 3D PC saves. (http://fman.no-ip.org:8080/s3dsaves/) Up to 3-2 so far.

I've been meaning to edit them so that you'd start with a score of 0 but have no idea how.

^effy, I can finish those off, I've had them on my PC for months.  Lemme make a link on my webspace.

*goes to upload*

EDIT: Uploaded to here (http://mysite.verizon.net/vzenxvu2/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderfiles/sonic3d.zip).
Pick one, rename it to pcsonic.sav, and it'll run from the continue option in-game.  The naming convention is (stage)(act)(special).  GG1SS1 is Green Grove 1, 1st Special Stage; GeGe2 is Gene Gadget 2, etc.  Every special stage from Diamond Dust 2 onwards will revert to the 6th stage, since every emerald was collected.  Figured I'd get the emeralds in the off-chance that all 28 of the different special stages for S3D actually mean something on TSC.

What about savestates for Level Select screens on Sonic 1/2/3&Knuckles?

I'd do them myself but I got rid of all my emulators a while ago. :[

The lack of Gens/Gens+ savestates saddens me greatly

What about savestates for Level Select screens on Sonic 1/2/3&Knuckles?

Here (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ET53Y8V0)

I think I went into the Sonic 1 and Sonic 2 level selects myself, but this is SDM's S3&K save.  It's set so you don't turn super, but you can grab the Sonic 3 giant rings.
However, it doesn't have S2&K.  But someone else can do that, right?

In accordance with this (http://www.soniccenter.org/forum/index.php?topic=2127.msg21966#msg21966) idea I am reviving this topic. All saves are being moved to http://www.soniccenter.org/saves/ as I type.

EDIT: Okay, done. Currently part of the collection:
Sonic 1
S2(&K)
S3&K (all)
S3D (Genesis)
SPA
SAdva2
SSR (see first link)

Still required:
Sonic Advance 3 save with boss attack unlocked
Sonic 2/Chaos/Triple Trouble level selects for GG

Here's my current SatSR save. I'm at Lv76 with almost every skill and all golds but 5.

To use it, move it onto an SD card under directory private\wii\title\RSRE and then plug it into the wii and move it onto the wii itself. If you don't want to kill your own save, you'll have to copy that onto your computer first.

At www.wiisave.com, someone has posted 100% complete SAtSR. Sonic's at Level 74, and has ALL golds. Just missing one or two Fire Souls, and Awards.

I plan to post one soon that has Sonic at Level 99, with ALL Fire Souls and ALL Awards. Give me a week, and I should be done.

Wham.

GG states arent present yet because Ive not done them, still, voila~

I should also probably point out I only made states for the levels where the MS version has the advantage, same for GG >_>

Okay, I unlazied myself and got what I can give.

S3DB Level select - Seriously, no one else gave this?  BARACUDA.  BARACUDA!  Such an easy code.
Advance 2 - Psyknux gave me the file.  All I did was save it as an SGM

I need to get a new Advance 3 one, though.  Mine still has a few of my movie-recording times.

I happen to have a 100% Advance 2 file, which I believe was courtesy of Quartz. Iono.

Should I bother with it? I've got vid-recording times for HC1S and EU2S on them. (That's it, though; 50.12 and 1:30:xx respectively.)

Whoops, I got lazy. Quartz's saves added.

edit: or not - FTP's being wacko.

If anyone's interested, I'm working on saves for Mega Collection Plus; I can upload those when I'm done.  It should have all games and hints unlocked, with saves for level select screens (and possibly S1 and S2 special stages; those are harder to level select).

There are occasions when using S3 by itself is preferable or required (isn't there at least one Emerald challenge that needs it?)

I don't think it's bumping if it's a sticky, right?
Does anyone have a Heroes straight-A save for the PC?  I had one, lost it, started making another one, lost that too after I reached Hang Castle, and really don't want to start over AGAIN.  Thanks.

I would like to play the 3D version of the GHZ in Sonic Adventure 2 and I was wondering if it is possible to find a save game for it anywhere, and if yes, if there is any possibility to get the save data on my memory card for my gamecube.

I'm pretty sure you can't.

Oh, OK, so, I guess I have to force myself through the Chao-Raising and the A-ranking of the shooting stages. O.O

Here are saves of all s1gg levels with 0 score going into them, which eliminates a lot of the confusion for score attacking.

---Note that Sky Base 1 and Sky Base 2 have 10000 score going into them, so you have to subtract. This is because Scrap Brain 3 is impossible to complete without rings.

I have a 100% Unleashed Wii save, but don't know how I would save it here if someone wants it.

fb2 as tails with slope glitch at the start
Title: Re: A compendium of game saves

Flying Battery 2 as sonic with slope glitch at the start. There are 3, one for each shield. At this point i believe fire to be the fastest, but whatever <_<

Edit: Redid the flame shield one as sonic for two reasons. One, tails just gets in your way. Two, to set up the timers in fb2 better -_-

Edit: Done Knux as well, and I've done so2 tails and knux to get the first platform to align well. If you want sonic just get my vid and make a quick save.

Just adding CN2T with wheel glitch to start off now that drama is dealt with.

IC2T slope glitch for rings, got the 3 ring boxes on sonic's path and a lightning shield for convience.

Edit: and here's sonic.

Edit: aaaand Knuckles.
Redid these to get rid of the barrier.

Just for sparkle...

For SDM: IC2K Slope glitch being able to spindash at the start. No shield, sorry man :(

For Aita: IC2T Slope glitch for TA, S3 alone

I tried out the spinning top and kept getting blue screen o' death on genesis...or stuck in loopback. Does that save come with a lightning shield? (I think I know what you're talking about but I'm not 100% sure)

6 savestates for S3K. They may be useful to RA 2 levels :

- Icecap act 2 (start with the 3 ring boxes, a lightning shield and the slope glitch, no wall above the screen)
- Launch Base act 2 (Start with the slope glitch, a water shield and all ring boxes discovered)

There is a savestate for every character. They also contain a save for every character with and without all the Super Emeralds, and a save with Blue Knuckles (stuck on Angel Island, so useless)
