Title: Guess what!
Post by: DJ Koopa on February 14, 2006, 11:08:12 pm
Fun Fact: I have just spelled the word "MOO" on my computer screen by sticking gummy bears to it. If I had a camera, I would take a picture and show it off to everybody here.

...Yes, I'm 100% Serious. I really did.

The more pressing question is, why would anyone care?

Also get back in the chat. We've missed you. :P

1. Download Opera from www.opera.com
2. Go to Tools -> Mail and chat accounts...
3. Make a new IRC account
4. Fill in your name information
5. For server, type "newyork.ny.us.accessirc.net"
6. You'll now have an AccessIRC line in Mail and chat accounts... Click it and choose Edit
7. In the Outgoing tab, add "/ns identify <your NickServ password>" and "/join #soniccenter"
8. Go to Chat -> Connect to... -> the AccessIRC option you just created
9. You're now in IRC using a web browser, and can repeat the above steps for any other networks you want!

Why would anyone download bloatware like Opera just for IRC.

If you use Mozilla, get the Chatzilla extension or something. Or you can just get an IRC client like mIRC.

Does XChat actually say you don't have to pay when using Windows now?

Also Chatzilla ftw.

As do I. Xchat is open source, ergo has lots of free builds besides the "official"  one.
